Grants of Dalvey Watches

In 1879, the small manufactory in the Scottish Highlands crafted bagpipes. A century later, Sir Patrick Grant, 14th Baronet of Dalvey, took the high precision skills needed to produce the instruments and branched the firm into piping accessories. The first product was a circular flask designed to fit into a sporran. Grants of Dalvey watches, as the range of products came to be called, is now an award winning gentlemen’s gifts collection. Mirror-polished stainless steel is their trademark feature, as well as impeccable quality.
Besides sporran flasks, compasses, and cufflinks, Grants of Dalvey offers luxury wrist watches. The “De Ville”, for example, is a unique watch. It’s internal parts can be seen through a small window in the bottom part of the face. A much larger window on the back side of the watch also allows the mechanism to be viewed to a greater degree. With it’s automatic movement, the “De Ville” will run for 36 hours when fully wound.
The “Roadster” watch, on the other hand, has a power reserve of 40 hours when fully wound. It also has a window on the back so the automatic movement mechanism can be viewed. The classic design features a square curved casing and an elegant, black leather wrist band.
Grants of Dalvey’s Sports Chronograph is a round face design. It has a small date window at the 3 o’clock position. Three sub-dials are also on the face. The third sub-dial at 6 o’clock is a professional chronograph with one tenth of a second precision.
